Tomorrow is breathless agony. I was hoping to have a bit more time to prepare, but I seem to have ran out of time. My bike is prepped and ready to go, but that’s about it. So I have set an early wake-up call to try to prepare myself before I have to drive to Sylvan Park.
What do I need to try to remember in the morning? All of my riding clothes, my sunglasses, helmet, shoes, and of course my bike. I also need to remember my nutrition and some water. And for once, I will hopefully remember to bring some recovery food.
I don’t know (other than what I need to remember in the morning) if I’m ready for the ride. My weight is still a little higher than usual and when I look at my ride from last year I don’t know if I am in as good of shape. However, numbers don’t lie and if I was faster at the whiskey and at the VisionQuest I should be faster here. I guess I will have to stop worrying and just wait and see what I can do tomorrow.
Once I get back from Onyx Summit I will try and recollect my thoughts and recount my experience. Hopefully it will be a good one.
Oh, and by the way, I got to meet Ellen DeGeneres today.
