I went on a ride up to Oak Glen today. It’s been a while since I’ve been up there and it is exactly as I remember. Long. It wasn’t bad, though and I made the ascent in 35 minutes. My power just isn’t what it used to be, but I’m working on getting it back and today’s ride was a good start.
I had a few Garmin issues early on that seemed to be resolved after the first hour. Meaning, I lost all the data from the first hour. I’m also having issues with it not recognizing new sensors at times. I do have multiple sensors in the garage, but if the GPS loses the signals of all powermeters except for one, then it should pick up that one.
Back to Oak Glen, it was a nice climb. I got to pass a few riders that were moving pretty slow and the weather was great. The descent down towards the 10 freeway wasn’t too good, though. The road is getting very bad near the bottom. I hope they repave it sometime soon.
